The globally acclaimed Berlin duo will come to Ireland for a very special one off live show on March 7, for the first ever edition of LEAF festival.

Taking place in a pop-up warehouse space on the banks of the river Shannon, in the heart of Limerick city, the event comes as an exciting addition to an ever-growing Irish festivals scene.

"LEAF 2020 is a festival of Limerick to the world – positioning the city front and centre in the world of electronic arts - the intersection of technology and artistic expression," says the press release for the event.

And this first announcement appears to confirm that it is set to be BIG!

A huge force in international dance music, Modeselektor have performed in the world's hottest clubs and headlined a string of huge international festivals, from Dekmantel in Brazil to Dour in Belgium.

Thanks to their trademark adventures of sound, bass and beats which never fails to conquer the crowds, they are one of the most in-demand international acts.

For several years, they had been touring with collaborative side-project, Moderat, but the original Modeselektor mark is back! Earlier this year, they released an aptly-named ‘Who Else’ new record - the first since 2011 - which met great success.

The duo had stopped on Irish grounds last summer to headline Body & Soul but this time around, they will bring their brand-new genre crushing live show to LEAF 2020, which should make for a very special performance.

LEAF Director Joe Clarke explains: "Our statement of intent starts here, with the announcement of our Saturday night headliners – the iconic Berlin duo, Modeselektor – Live." A right start indeed.

The festival will take place from March 5th until March 8 and will also comprise symposiums, music trails, workshops and Fringe events.

Tickets will go on sale on December 13 at 9am from Ticketmaster at a price of €35 plus booking fee.
