The West Cork singer-songwriter's highly anticipated album arrives next month.
Following a string of acclaimed singles, and an unforgettable performance on the Hot Press Y&E Series, Molly O'Mahony has announced her debut album, The House Of David – set to be released on November 10.
To coincide with the release, she's also announced an album launch tour, featuring shows across Ireland, as well as a London date.
The Ballydehob singer-songwriter, who was tipped as one of the Hot Press 'Hot For 2022' Irish Acts, previously rose to prominence as a member of art-folk group Mongoose.
The House of David was largely created during lockdown, and spans, as O'Mahony explains, "a decade of my life in song."
"It is a journey from innocence to experience; through all the awkward, lovelorn, shape-shifting I’ve undergone throughout my twenties," she writes in the Bandcamp description. "It is a monument to love, lessons and growth, and to the people who have journeyed with me - the great soul mates who’ve been the catalyst for deep, irrevocable change, and the steadfast reliables who’ve caught me through thick and thin. I have been blessed in my life with many wonderful people who’ve loved me very well, often far better than I could myself. This is for them.

"Finally, it is a monument to the house of David, which has been my sanctuary through so much. Just as it has provided me with the infrastructure to live and create, my words and music are what I have to give back in honour of it now. This record is my humble offering in gratitude for all it has been to me and all it has seen me through."
Created with her siblings Matilda and Fiachra acting as both sounding boards and complementary voices, the album was recorded at Black Mountain Studios in Dundalk with producer Alex Borwick at the helm.
The House Of David is available to pre-order as a digital album, as well as on vinyl and CD, on Bandcamp now.
