Dublin-based RnB favourite Monjola has announced his latest EP 'iTs NoT tHaT DeEP, set for release on June 14 via the artist’s independent label Chamomile Club.
Set to contain eight tracks, the project’s summery lead single ‘GO WRONG’ dropped last Friday.
“The project is called iTs NoT tHaT DeEP…In this world where things can get complicated very quickly I found myself questioning and overthinking things and scenarios I’ve been in,” said Monjola. "The project is a journey that takes the audience through my thought process in a diary format. And at the end of that journey what I come to realise is ‘iTs NoT THaT DeEP.’”

The Hot Press Hot For 2023 act first cut his teeth in secondary school with a string of Soundcloud releases, before going on to found Chamomile Club with his younger brother and producer Moio and Aby Coulibaly. The collective quickly earned a reputation for being one of Ireland’s most exciting independent outfits, championing much of the country’s emerging soul, hip hop and RNB talent.
While Monjola has toured with the likes of Kid Cudi and Genesis Owusu, he remains committed to keeping his feet firmly on the ground and entrenched in the local Dublin scene, with iTs NoT tHaT DeEP promising to act as a “testament to the creativity and unity” of the Chamomile Club community.
The project was produced by Moio, co-produced by Chris Bubenzer, mixed by Joseph Hartwell Jones (FKA Twigs, Olivia Deane, Adele) and Mastered by Gregg Janman.
