The hugely talented Irish DJ plays Monster Sessions this Thursday...
A massive night toasting the best of Irish rap and drill talent awaits this Thursday, June 15, at Monster Sessions in The Workman's Club, Dublin – with DJ Jesse now joining a line-up that already features leading lights like TraviS X Elzzz, Celaviedmai, and Reggie B.
Presented by Hot Press, with Monster Energy, it's already gearing up to be a major event for the homegrown rap and drill scene, with unmissable, high-energy sets.
Alongside TraviS X Elzzz, Celaviedmai, and Reggie B, DJ Jesse has become a formidable force on the Irish scene – thanks to his own masterful sets, as well as his work as Drogheda drill icon Offica's official DJ.
"His management team had heard me DJ in a few places," Jesse says of his initial link-up with Offica. "They were like, ‘This guy is actually sick – we need to get him to get the crowd going before Offica comes on, to add to the whole experience.’ And I’ve been in the DJ game a while now, so I know what I’m doing around the decks!"
The Irish DJ has witnessed first-hand the phenomenal rise of Irish drill – and how it's made its mark on the world stage.
"I felt like it was only a matter of time, but it still was a bit surprising nonetheless," he says of the rap subgenre's explosion in popularity on these shores. "But I also feel like there's still more to come from it. This is just the beginning. It's going all the way up!"
He's already been part of some milestone moments for the drill scene here, through his work with Offica.
"DJing with Offica at Longitude was a big thing," he reflects. "And not just for me, but for all of us – being on the Main Stage was surreal."
He's had some unforgettable career highlights of his own too – from major gigs in the UK, to DJing at Burna Boy's epic 3Arena show back in December.

"I forget it happened sometimes!" he says of the Burna Boy gig. "I’m like, ‘Wow. That actually happened – I was there, DJing for him…’"
With Monster Sessions only a matter of days away, DJ Jesse tells fans that they "can expect a lot of hip-hop" from his highly anticipated set.
"But it also depends on the vibe of the crowd, and I'll be reading that," he adds. "I know TraviS X Elzzz are performing, so the crowd will be into more of a rap and drill sort of vibe!"
