After another record-smashing, history-making year for Irish rap and drill, we're in the mood for celebrating – with the release of an exclusive video interview, starring two of the homegrown scene's most phenomenal talents: TraviS x Elzzz.

The pair joined us in The Workman's Club in Dublin ahead of their major set at the acclaimed Monster Sessions – presented by Hot Press, with Monster Energy. The night provided a unique chance to salute the boundary-pushing talent who are – individually and collectively – flying the flag for Ireland on a global stage, with their own totally authentic approach to international sounds.

Whether onstage as a duo, bouncing off each other's irrepressible energy, or inviting friends and collaborators onstage and embracing the brilliant mayhem that followed – including a pop-up appearance from fellow Dublin legend Selló – TraviS X Elzzz proved exactly why they've been tipped for greatness with their unforgettable set.

Sitting down with Hot Press in the chairs of expert barbers – who had travelled over from the UK specially for the event – TraviS discussed the bold, enterprising spirit that continues to define the duo's approach.

"That energy is in us," he stated. "It's the energy we carry ourselves with. So anything we do, that energy is going to be there – if it's clothes, music, whatever... I don't know when it started. It was just always there."

"If you want something, you just put yourself out there, and put that energy out there – and I believe that you will eventually attract it," Elzzz reflected. "But it's still early days..."

"...So we've just got to keep it going," TraviS nodded.
