Moon Looks On, the Irish folk project helmed by Stephen Gormley has today issued appeal to help locate Gormley's missing Takamine EN-20 guitar.
The guitar went missing after Moon Looks On performed at Whelan's live on Monday evening (February 26).
In a post shared on Instagram the artist said that: "Someone walked out of the smoking area upstairs in Whelan's last night after I played the Whelan's Song Cycle last night with my vintage Takamine EN 20 guitar".
Continuing the singer songwriter said that: "I’d really like to think that someone picked it up by mistake and took it home after the gig".
The guitar is a vintage Takamine EN 20 guitar which the musician described as 'My bread and butter instrument" and of 'huge sentimental value".

The public appeal was accompanied by a series of photos of the guitar itself along with photos of Gormley performing playing the Takamine guitar.
The guitar was described as old and stored in a well worn soft case.
Within the case along with then guitar there are a selection of strings , a capo , a Daddario clip on tuner and a hi- vis jacket as Gormley cycled to0 the gig.
The musician said that he was "truly devastated" at the loss of the instrument.
Concluding the appeal Gormley said that there is a reward offered for information, saying "please hit me up if you seen anyone picking it up either by mistake or otherwise last night".
