The release celebrates the band's 30th anniversary
Trip-hop royalty Morcheeba are back with their new single ‘Call For Love’. The track is the first taste from their forthcoming album, building anticipation for its release due later this year.
The song features a hazy, laid back rhythm drenched in reverb along with Skye's vocals, produced by the band's Ross Godfrey. He describes the track as "grounding, musically and emotionally" expressing how "An apocalypse is always on the horizon, both personal and global. It is comforting to take refuge in music and love with those close to us"
Skye explains that she wrote the lyrics by asking herself "what would I like to hear from a certain someone, if and when they were ready to say sorry. As it turned out, it was also what I needed to say to them”.
Formed in London in 1995, Morcheeba have extensively toured the globe and sold over 10 millions albums worldwide. The pair have gone on to release 10 studio albums since their debut record Who Can You Trust? Their success also includes producing the LP Feelings for Talking Heads' David Byrne, and producing soundtracks for movies like Traffic for Oscar-winning director Steven Soderbergh.
