Morrissey has plans for a UK and Ireland show this summer with two back-to-back shows at Vicar Street in July.
The English singer-songwriter Morrissey has announced a UK and Ireland tour this summer. As a part of it, the Aiken Promotions singer will be playing two nights at Dublin's Vicar Street venue.
A successful artist for 36 years, he's had 16 albums hit the UK Top Ten as a solo act and 9 albums hit the Top Ten from his six years as the singer and lyricist for The Smiths. Similarly, in the States he had two Top Ten solo albums and eight Top 20 albums.
With songs covered by music legends David Bowie, Nancy Sinatra, the Killers, and more, Morrissey has remained a prominent rock and indie pop figure.
His 2020 album, I am Not A Dog on a Chain, was meant to have a follow-up album, Bonfire of Teenagers, released this February. Although Universal Music Group has since refused to release it, Morrissey reportedly has plans to release a new album Without Music the World Dies sometime this year. His most recent single 'Rebels Without Applause'' dropped back in 2022.
The English singer's upcoming Vicar Street shows will be this July, on Saturday, July 15th and the other on Sunday, July 16th. Tickets go on-sale this Thursday.
