This historic venue will host their biggest Pride Block Party yet, featuring two stages, full bars, food stalls and art installations.
Last week Mother announced they will be taking over the grounds of the The National Museum of Ireland in partnership with Dublin LGBTQ Pride & Smirnoff for the official post pride parade party. The Block Party is set to take place from 16:00 to 23:00 on 29th June.
MØ is set to headline the event, joined by Mother DJs, Daithí, Pillow Queens, Panti Bliss, Kelly-Anne Byrne, Paul Ryde, Conor Behan, Kate Brennan Harding, Claire Beck and Miss Kate.
Danish pop superstar MØ first established herself with the raw, DIY tinged pop of 2014’s hugely influential debut album No Mythologies To Follow. She has since expanded her sound and artistic vision via collaboration with a broad spectrum of music’s most interesting characters - from Diplo to Charli XCX to Cashmere Cat to SOPHIE.
When it was released in 2015, her hit single 'Lean On', which she co-wrote with Major Lazer, was Spotify’s most streamed song of all time. Since then it has amassed a staggering 2.5 billion views on YouTube. She would later repeat that incredible success with a 2016 Justin Beiber collaboration, Cold Water - a UK # 1 with just shy of 1 billion views on YouTube.
Released in October, Forever Neverland was met with a wealth of acclaim across the globe, with Clash Magazine saying, "A pop icon coming into her own...” and NME citing the album as “... anthemic, experimental and boldly poptastic”. Executive produced by Stint, the album also features collaborations with Diplo, Charli XCX, Empress Of, Stargate, Hudson Mohawke and more.

One of the highlights of her acclaimed new album Forever Neverland, the infectious anthem ‘Blur’ blends off-kilter pop with a 90s grunge feel and now features a new verse from Mark Foster of US indie-rock band Foster The People, along with a brand new video.
While taking influence from artists from contemporary US DIY indie & punk scenes like Mitski, Waxahatchee, Hop Along and Cloud Nothings, Pillow Queens stay true to their Irish heritage, peppering their songs with Dublin slang. Steve Lamaq calls them, ‘Deceptively infectious, with sharp hooks and sharp nails.” Check out their single Gay Girls, released at the end of last year.
Choice Music Prize nominated electronic artistDaithí, is an electronic music producer who combines nature recordings, old Irish samples and analog synths to create a unique type of house music that’s soaked in Irish culture. A mainstay in the Irish gigging scene, his live show is an improvised performance, creating on the spot dance music using synths, drum machines and live fiddle.
