Globe-trotting sextet Moxie has announced four dates for their homecoming tour around the island.
Alt-Folk group Moxie has just announced the dates for their Irish tour kicking off in December.
The six-piece outfit will start off the country-wide tour on Sunday, December 5th, taking the stage at Whelan's in Dublin.
In September Moxie released their highly awaited sophomore album The Dawn of Motion. It garnered high praises from critics and audiences alike, with Hot Press's John Walshe saying "[Dawn of Motion] sees the sextet combining musical genres like mad scientists let loose in the laboratory, switching from traditional tunes to more polished pop grooves with barely an eyebrow raised."
The group returns home after representing Ireland at the (delayed) 2020 Dubai expo, with their single ‘Is Ainm Dom’ being the official song of the Irish Pavilion. With one hundred performances put in this October at the 2020 World Expo, the group earned a call back to close out the Expo in March 2022.
Earlier this year the outfit was also nominated for the RTÉ Radio 1 Folk Awards 2021 for Best Folk Group amongst the likes of Villagers, Ye Vagabonds and The Whileaways.
