The folk-rock band continues on their blazing trail with a new headline show announced for June 12, 2024 at Dublin’s National Stadium alongside special guests. Tickets go on sale this Friday, November 17 at 10.00am.
Building on their recent sold-out Dublin headline show and current tour with sensational rockers Greta Van Fleet, Philadelphia folk-rock ensemble Mt. Joy have announced their biggest Irish headline gig to date next summer at The National Stadium, Dublin.
The show is set for Wednesday, June 12, 2024 and tickets go on sale this Friday, November 17 at 10.00am, from €29.90 including booking fee.
Named after a quiet rural town in southwest Pennsylvania, a four hour drive from their Philadelphia home base, Mt. Joy burst onto the folk-rock scene in 2016. Their self-titled 2018 debut album was a token for their quick success, namely the beloved hit song ‘Silver Lining,’ an uplifting power ballad that shot to #1 on AAA radio and has over 120 million Spotify streams to date.
Their follow-up album Rearrange Us drew critical acclaim, as have their live shows over the past four years. With over half a billion streams and international acclaim, the band has performed at festivals such as Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo and has toured with The Lumineers, Rainbow Kitten Surprise, The Revivalists, and The Head and The Heart; they’ve appeared on live television, including performances on Stephen Colbert, CBS Morning, Samantha Bee, Seth Meyers, Jimmy Kimmel, and Conan.
Mt. Joy – made up of Matt Quinn (vocals, guitar), Sam Cooper (guitar), Sotiris Eliopoulos (drums), Jackie Miclau (keys, piano) and Michael Byrnes (bass) – levelled up with their bright, bold, and brilliant third full-length album, Orange Blood, released in June 2022.

“Our last album was a breakup record,” shares vocalist Quinn. “It had a darker feel. When we were in Joshua Tree, there were so many sad things in the world. We wanted to build something that found beauty in the fact the world has always been crazy. We were trying to find a way to be present enough to appreciate our surroundings even if they’re in decay.”
The record was a product of upended touring with The Lumineers in 2020, due to Covid. Matt and Sam flocked to the desert, holding up for a period of connection and creativity that would funnel into Orange Blood — a dreamy, alternative work of art glittering with psychedelic guitars and blissful melodies.
Returning to Philadelphia, they put the finishing touches on the album, working alongside longtime producer and collaborator Caleb Nelson.
Catch Mt. Joy at Dublin’s National Stadium on June 12, 2024. Tickets for the unmissable show go on sale this Friday, November 17 at 10.00am at the link here.
