The teen trailblazer has also shared the remastered version her single 'Candyman'
Donegal folk blues singer Muireann Bradley has signed with Decca and Verve Forecast to re-release her debut album I Kept These Old Blues on February 28.
The 18-year-old has released a remastered version of her song ‘Candyman’ by Rev Gary Davis, the first single the singer recorded at the age of 14.
Speaking of the recent signing Muireann said, “Signing with Decca & Verve Forecast is a dream come true for me. I get such an incredible thrill when I think about my debut album being re-released on such historic and iconic labels which are so synonymous with legends like Billie Holiday, Nina Simone, and Ella Fitzgerald, as well as amazing contemporary artists like Melody Gardot and Jon Batiste.”
Muireann found an international audience on YouTube, with her first video from 2021, a cover of 'Police Dog Blues', boasting 112 thousand views. The musician has made numerous TV appearances, performing on Jools Holland's Hootenanny and The Late Late Show.
Following her show in Dublin's Vicar Street in November, Muireann Bradley is set to perform in The Róisín Dubh in Galway on December 14 as well as Dolan’s Warehouse in Limerick City on December 19. Tickets are available from ticketmaster.ie
