The single features Wolf Alice's Ellie Rowsell and will be on Mura Masa's upcoming album, R.Y.C.
UK electronic artist Mura Masa has released a new single titled 'Teenage Headache Dreams,' featuring Wolf Alice's Ellie Rowsell. The track will be on the producer's upcoming sophomore album R.Y.C. (Raw Youth Collage), out January 17.
The aptly named track has a distinctly nostalgic feel, backed by a bassline that feels straight out of the credits of a coming-of-age film. The pair long for the freedom and naïvety of teenage dreams. "I want to be free / Romanticize reality / Reminds me what it means / To be free," Rowsell sings. There's a distinct sense of hopefulness present between the nostalgic yearning. "Seems like the good time's over / But nothing's really over anymore," they sing on the first chorus.
R.Y.C. will also feature guest vocals from slowthai, Clairo, Tirzah and Georgia and include previously released singles 'No Hope Generation' and 'I Don't Think I Can Do This Again.'
