The gig will feature music from Emileo, Larabel and Euan Hart.
Following the devastating earthquake in Morocco last weekend – in which nearly 3,000 are reported to have died – The Grand Social in Dublin is set to host a fundraiser gig in its upstairs Garden venue on Sunday, September 24, at 5pm.
The gig will feature live music from Emileo, Larabel, and Euan Hart.
Taking to Instagram, Emileo – who previously won the Sinéad O'Connor scholarship at BIMM Dublin – spoke about her special connection to Morocco.
"Barely two weeks after I had left Marrakech this summer, thousands of Moroccans had to suffer the probably most horrible night of their lives," she wrote. "It breaks me to see the devastation and grief the earthquake has left behind in this caring and loving country where I have always been treated like another daughter and sister. Having to watch these scenes from afar and not being able to help has been an incredible burden on me.
"So this is probably everything I can do at the moment for my home of heart," she said of the upcoming gig. "I am deeply touched by that Larabel and Euan Hart want to support beautiful Morocco and its warm-hearted people with me.

"I can't express how grateful I will be for everyone who shows up to listen to our music and is so generous to leave whatever donation they can afford for my Morocco."
The suggested donation for the gig is €5.
