Denise Chaila is one of the nominees for the European music prize for emerging artists, while Gemma Bradley has been announced as one of the members of the international jury.
The highly anticipated Music Moves Europe award ceremony is set to be broadcast via mmeawards.eu – as well as the platform of the online edition of ESNS (Eurosonic Noorderslag), 3fm.nl/esns – on Thursday, January 20 at 7pm Irish time
The ceremony for the Music Moves Europe Awards – the European music prize "for emerging artists representing the sound of today and tomorrow" – will host most of the nominated artists "in session," as well as revealing the winners of both the Grand Jury Prize and the Public Choice Award.
Hosts include Dutch artist Naaz, who won the Public Choice Award in 2020, and radio presenter Fernando Halman.
In addition to Denise Chaila representing Ireland, this year's nominees include Alina Pash (Ukraine), Anna (Italy), Balkan Taksim (Romania), Blanks (The Netherlands), Дeva (Hungary), DORA (Spain), Francis of Delirium (Luxembourg), Friedberg (Austria), Jada (Denmark), Ladaniva (Armenia), Meskerem Mees (Belgium), Mezerg (France), Nenny (Portugal), and Zoe Wees (Germany).

The jury, meanwhile includes Gemma Bradley, host at BBC 1 Radio; Alyona Alyona, Public Choice Winner of 2021; Cindy Castillo, Management & Bookings for Mad Cool Festival; Kevin Cole, DJ and host at KEXP; and Bryan Johnson, International Artist & Industry Partnerships manager at Spotify.
Music fans across Europe vote to select the winner of the Public Choice Award 2022, via the Music Moves Europe Awards website. Five artists will be selected as winners by the international jury (winning €10,000 each) while one artist is awarded the Grand Jury Prize (winning €10,000 and a green touring voucher worth €5,000).
All fifteen nominees are also invited for a business education day, organised by ESNS and its partners.
