Looking back at a pretty successful year, Lyra reveals her favourite movie, her biggest villain of 2019 and more.
Your hero of 2019?
My sister. She is such a strong, powerful woman and she gave birth to my first niece. It's been really inspirational to see my sister become a mom and such a grown-up in my eyes.
Villain of 2019?
I have a few. [laughs] But 2019 was really hard for me because I went through a really bad break-up, so I think my ex would have to be the villain, even though he has helped me write some really good songs.
Best personal moment?

It was that final week after this massive break-up when I actually felt okay.
Best movie?
Joker. The cinematography, the soundtrack, when he's dancing on the steps... Joaquin Phoenix has to win the best actor oscar.
Best record?
I might go with Billie Eilish, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?.
Best TV programme?
Mindhunter - I love murder. [laughs]

Best book?
It wasn't released this year but The Art of Happiness. That and The Secret would be my bibles of break-up.
Best thing about 2019?
Going to Nashville and LA for my music.
What tickled your funny bone?
What is appropriate to say? [laughs] I would say looking back at myself, crabbing across the stage at Electric Picnic. I can't believe I've actually done that.
Lyra just announced an Irish headline tour for 2020. Check out the dates here.
