My Bloody Valentine were formed in Dublin in 1983 by Kevin Shields and Colm Ó Cíosóig. After several changes, the lineup solidified in 1987 to include Bilinda Butcher and Debbie Googe alongside the original duo.
The band released three albums across their career, debuting in 1988 with Isn't Anything, which reached number one on the UK independent charts. Their most recent record, m b v, launched in 2013.
They are considered pioneers of the shoegaze genre, with artists like Smashing Pumpkin's Billy Corgan, Robert Smith of The Cure, Matty Healy of The 1975, and more drawing inspiration from the Irish-English group.
Tickets are available via My Bloody Valentine's website, on sale at 10.00am on Friday, April 4.
