What am I really going to say about Paul McCartney? Crap pop star? Lazy songwriter? Dodgy singer? Even if that last one is veering dangerously towards the truth, Sir Paul is generally accepted as the greatest living legend in music, so I can't be too cruel about 'My Valentine', in spite of an intense desire to make fun of the title of the album it graces, Kisses On The Bottom. As love songs go, this one's not going to knock 'Maybe I'm Amazed' off any first dance lists, but the Sinatra-sized jazz ballad shows that old romantic Paul has never lost his magic touch.
