"I hope it gives space to people to unlock their own meanings," Myles Smith says of You Promised A Lifetime. The viral indie-pop artist will celebrate the release of his forthcoming EP with a gig in Dublin's Academy 2 this May.
Hot on the heels of his recently released track 'River' and a sold out UK, EU and US tour, singer-songwriter Myles Smith has announced his debut EP You Promised A Lifetime, out 29th March.
The Luton native saw meteoric popularity with his viral tracks 'Solo' and 'My Home.' Over the last year, his profile has sky-rocketed following the release of original tracks and enthralling covers that blend folk, Americana and pop stylings.
"This title represents a profound, yet neutral statement, which gains meaning through the perspective of the person reading it," Myles says of You Promised Me A Lifetime. "With the project, my own stories, and the stories of those around me were used to create it, but it’s the stories and journeys of those listening who truly give it life, depending on where you are in life and what you are feeling. I hope it gives space to people to unlock their own meanings."
Alongside news of his forthcoming record, Myles has also announced a string of new UK and EU dates for his headline tour, with a show in Dublin's Academy 2 on Saturday, 11th May. Tickets for the new dates go on sale Friday, 1st March; more information can be found here.
