Nation of Language shares new single 'Wounds of Love' and announces upcoming album and headline show at The Grand Social.
Nation of Language have released their latest single, 'Wounds of Love.' In celebration of their new single and upcoming album, the Brooklyn trio will be headlining a show at The Grand Social on January 29, 2022.
Following the success of their 2020 debut album Introduction, Presence, 'Wounds of Love' has been shared ahead of their sophomore album A Way Forward, which will be released on November 5. The first single from the upcoming project, 'Across That Fine Line,' was relased last month and has been praised for its 80s-inspired sound.
Songwriter Ian Devaney describes 'Wounds of Love' as "a song about getting caught in a mental feedback loop when a relationship ends." It's about the post-breakup feeling of directionless when someone wants to move on but feels lost without the other person. "For every bit of progress there's just as much retreating, and eventually it seems like this back-and-forth becomes the new root of your identity - still tied to the same person, just without them actually being there," says Devaney.
Tickets for their live performance at The Grand Social will be available Friday, July 9 at 9am on Ticketmaster.ie and Tickets.ie.
