The National Concert Hall has announced three concerts for St Patrick's week 2024.
In celebration of Irish traditional and contemporary classical music, they include a tribute to fiddler Tommie Potts (14 March) as well as the Klifenora Céili Band with Don Stiffe & Fiona Ryan and dancers (16 March).
On St Patrick’s Day itself there will be a world premiere of St Patrick’s Overture by Shaun Davey, alongside Davey’s The Brendan Voyage and Granuaile, performed by the National Symphony Orchestra and guests.

The fifth concert in the popular ‘Drawing from the Well’ series, the spotlight on Dublin fiddler Tommie Potts brings together some of Ireland’s leading musicians to perform music connected with or inspired by Potts. The evening will be hosted by award-winning historian and broadcaster Dónal Fallon.
One of the country’s oldest and most renowned céilí bands, The Kilfenora Céilí Band are set to provide a high-energy evening of jigs, reels, polkas and more. Over 100 years old, the group has evolved through its many performances at both domestically and abroad, with performances at Glastonbury, Milwaukee Music Festival and New York’s Lincoln Centre.
