"Join us all as we celebrate the Summer of Democracy," Young said.
Neil Young has teased a UK, European and North American tour for 2025.
According to Far Out Magazine, the rock star took to his website – Neil Young Archives – to tease the announcement of tour dates on February 24, in a since-deleted post titled "Join us in the SUMMER OF DEMOCRACY."
"Music unites!" read Young's post. "We will be there with you! Join us all as we celebrate the Summer of Democracy. Old songs and new songs. Old words and new words. Long jams!
"We will come together this summer. The Chrome Hearts and I are ready for you! LOVE and Democracy reigns in the USA and the world."
News of Young headlining Glastonbury 2025 had been announced by the rock star himself on December 31, in a website post in which he simultaneously shared he had decided to withdraw from the festival:

"It seems Glastonbury is now under corporate control and is not the way I remember it being," wrote Young. "We will not be playing Glastonbury on this tour because it is a corporate turn-off, and not for me like it used to be."
However, two days later, on January 3, Young reversed his decision to pull out of the festival:
"Due to an error in the information received, I had decided to not play the Glastonbury festival, which I always have loved," Young shared. "Happily, the festival is now back on our itinerary and we look forward to playing! Hope to see you there!"
Glastonbury co-organiser Emily Eavis confirmed the news on an Instagram post:
"What a start to the year!" she wrote. "Neil Young is an artist who’s very close to our hearts at Glastonbury. He does things his own way and that’s why we love him. We can’t wait to welcome him back here to headline the Pyramid in June."

Last month, Young released 'big change,' the first single with his new band, The Chrome Hearts. In a recent statement Young said they have finished recording a new album, which he hopes will be released in April.
"(These songs) feel fresh to me and I am very happy to have this all ready for you," read the post. "It won’t be long now and it will be great to have new songs to play on the road this summer in Europe, the USA and Canada. We are looking forward to that!"
Young is also set to release Oceanside Countryside on March 7. It is a previously unreleased album recorded from May to December 1977 on tape.
