Celebrating their 40th anniversary, 4AD have announced a special compilation project, Bills & Aches & Blues, featuring 18 artists on the current roster covering songs from the iconic UK label's catalogue. Side 1 of the album is out now – featuring new signing Maria Somerville, alongside Aldous Harding, The Breeders, Tkay Maidza and U.S. Girls.

Irish singer-songwriter and producer Maria Somerville covers Air Miami's 'Seabird'. The track originally featured on the American indie-rock band's album Me, Me, Me – released by 4AD in 1995.

Bills & Aches & Blues is named after the opening line of Cocteau Twins' 'Cherry-Coloured Funk'. The full album will be released digitally on April 2, with vinyl and CD editions out on July 23 – featuring the likes of Future Islands, Tune-Yards, Big Thief, Ex:Re and more.
