The White Stripes Complete Lyrics will also include exclusive essays by Hanif Abdurraqib, Ben Blackwell, and Caroline Randall Williams
24 years after the release of their self-titled debut album, The White Stripes' work is set to be celebrated in a new book, The White Stripes Complete Lyrics, which will published by Third Man Books on October 3.
Spanning over 300 pages, the hardbound book documents all of Jack White's original lyrics written for the Grammy Award-winning duo, from their formation in 1997, to the release of their final studio album, Icky Thump, in 2007. It marks the first time that White's lyrics have been collected.
The book also features never-before-seen material, rare rough drafts of songs, and alternate lyrics, alongside photographs. In addition, you can expect exclusive essays by poet and essayist Hanif Abdurraqib, Third Man Records' co-founder Ben Blackwell, and poet and writer Caroline Randall Williams
Over the course of their remarkable career, The White Stripes, made up of Jack White and Meg White, released six studio albums, and scored six Grammy Awards.
