A new David Bowie LP, Waiting In The Sky (Before The Starman Came To Earth), is due to be released on Record Store Day 2024 (April 20).
The project contains recordings from Trident Studios in 1971, and features most of the tracks that would eventually go on to form Bowie’s seminal work, The Rise and Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars.
Also included are four songs which don’t appear on Ziggy Stardust…, amongst which is a cover of the legendary Chuck Berry’s ‘Round and Round’ – which was originally released as the B-Side to 1973’s ‘Drive-In Saturday’.
Also on the new pressing will be two Ziggy-era fan favourites, ‘Holy Holy’, and ‘Velvet Goldmine’.
