Listen to Brandi Carlile's rendition of 'I Remember Everything' below.
Following the release of Broken Hearts & Dirty Windows: Songs of John Prine in 2010, Oh Boy Records have revealed that there's a Vol. 2 on the way – expected to be released in full in autumn. The upcoming tribute album has been teased with the release of Brandi Carlile's cover of 'I Remember Everything' – Prine's final song.
Prine, who died on April 7, 2020, from complications caused by Covid-19, was honoured at the Grammy Awards on Sunday night – winning two posthumous awards for Best American Roots Song and Best American Roots Performance, for 'I Remember Everything'. Carlile also performed the track on the night, in memory of the late great singer-songwriter.
This is the last song our beloved @johnprinemusic ever wrote. It was an unspeakable honor to sing it tonight. Thank you to the Grammys for lifting our hero. Merry Christmas John 🎄
