The pop icon's 14th studio album will get a later release date than previously thought.
Madonna has announced that she is finishing off her newest album, her first in four years, and that it will be released in 2019. Her last release, 2015's "Rebel Heart", saw the pop goddess traversing a variety of genres and included contributions from Nicki Minaj and Nas.
Despite her recent ventures into the beauty product industry with a line of perfumes and skincare products, she claimed that she "cannot quit" making music, in an interview with WWD this week, and that the new album is being finished off and will be released at some point in 2019.

The recent announcement comes months after saying the album would be released by the end of this year, and that the album would carry a huge amount of Portugese influences after her recent move to Lisbon to help her 12 year old sons soccer career.
She said: "I've just met lots of really amazing musicians, and I've ended up working with a lot of these musicians on my new record, so Lisbon has influenced my music and my work.
