The band have announced their highly anticipated upcoming debut album DN001, due to release early next year.
Punk-funk band Def Nettle returns with a brand-new single 'Boat Race' and its accompanying music video.
The single release coincides with the announcement of the band's upcoming debut album DN001, which will be released on Friday 9th February 2024 across all streaming platforms and on 12" black vinyl. You can pre-order the record HERE.
Rich in metaphor and wit, 'Boat Race' is a story of an "audacious lover on the receiving end of a direct hit to the face." An energy-fueled punk rock anthem, it's similar in feel to their successful debut single 'The Pills'. It follows a series of other successful singles from the past few months, including 'Architecture' which spent 8 weeks at #2 in the German Indie charts and 'War Machine', which featured the late Andy Rourke of The Smiths on bass.
Def Nettle is the project of multi-genre musician Glen Brady. From Dublin by way of New York, Berlin and San Fransisco, he's had decades of experience within the music industry, from music production to DJing to performance. He's worked with some of the most well-known artists in the world, including R.E.M., Andy Rourke and the late Dolores O'Riordan of The Cranberries.
