The new piano composition will premiere at The Lark on November 2nd.
Legendary Irish avant-garde instrumentalist, recording artist and producer STANO, is set to premiere he and Conor Linehan's new composition 'Dreams of a Forgotten Place' in an immersive event at Balbriggan's new state-of-the-art concert hall The Lark.
Throughout an illustrious career of nearly 40 years, Stano has firmly remained a cult legend in the Irish music scene; recording 24 albums, numerous singles and film soundtracks, since his lauded 1983 debut, Content to Write in I Dine Weathercraft.
A contemporary suite for two pianos, 'Dreams of a Forgotten Place' will be performed live by renowned musicians Conor Linehan (Royal Shakespeare Company, Irish National Opera) and Lance Coburn (Sydney Symphony, RTE National Symphony and Hibernian Orchestras).
During a period of lockdown experimentation, Stano began exploring new sonic textures utilizing digital production tools, creating layered piano chord combinations. Using the tracks as a creative foundation, Stano set to work with Conor Linehan and the support of the Arts Council, to reimagine and rearrange the new tracks for live piano performance.
