Before he dropped The Show single 'Meltdown' today, the Irish singer-songwriter Niall Horan hosted a surprise fan event and show at the Dublin toastie shop of the same name.
Last weekend, if you happened to be near St. Stephen's Green on Montague Street in a cafe called Meltdown, you would have been in for a pleasant surprise. The Irish singer-songwriter and previous One Direction band member Niall Horan played a surprise concert at the eatery on Sunday.
The surprise performance wasn't incidental or improvised. The toastie spot shares a name with the singer's latest single 'Meltdown,' which drops today. Online, the "Home of Dublin's most EPIC toasties" shared that they were taken by surprise as well, but were happy to host.
"When I got asked to cater a secret fan event, I never thought it was going to be the one and only Niall Horan," Meltdown shared.
"He was as sound as expected and I can't believe his single is called 'Meltdown.'"

On his own Instagram, Niall shared that 'Meltdown' is "basically about feeling anxious and being in that kind of freaking out moment but knowing deep down that everything will be alright."
The new single comes straight from Niall Horan's upcoming album The Show, out June 9th.
Inspired by the true crime genre, The Show already has one track released: 'Heaven.' When it dropped, the single debuted as No.4 on the Official Irish Singles Chart. It's his first music release since dropping the 2020 album Heartbreak Weather.
Ahead of the new album drop, Niall also shared some new merch, including a new zine detailing the behind the scenes of The Show and the upcoming album on cloudy golden vinyl.
It comes after the 29-year-old performed at the White House last month for St. Patrick's Day and became a judge on The Voice US.
