The One Direction star is set to headline TRNSMT Festival in Glasgow on Friday, July 7th, 2023.
Mullingar native Niall Horan has revealed that next year will see the release of new music, promising a new album, tour dates and festivals for 2023 - with a performance at TRNSMT Festival just announced.
Joining the likes of Pulp, Sam Fender, The 1975 and George Ezra, the One Direction star will headline the Glasgow festival, with tickets on sale from November 4th, 2023.
Chatting to his fans in a video posted on Twitter last night, Horan shared that he couldn't wait to drop new music soon - his first since featuring on British pop star Anne-Marie's 2021 single 'Our Song'.
"I'm back," Horan smiled in the video. "I've got new music coming in the new year that I'm really, really proud of. I appreciate you being so patient with me while I've done it."
The 29-year-old said that he was currently shooting The Voice as a coach, before adding: "One thing I've wanted to do forever is festivals and I've never really had the opportunity to do it. So I think we will be announcing some festivals in the next couple of days and weeks and months for next year."

Niall Horan was set to tour with his last album, 2020's Heartbreak Weather. However, the Nice To Meet Ya tour was cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, which the singer made up for (at least in part) with a livestreamed performance at the Royal Albert Hall in London.
He recently took his good pal and fellow musician Lewis Capaldi on a roadtrip around Ireland for the Virgin Media documentary Niall Horan's Homecoming: The Road to Mullingar with Lewis Capaldi. Kicking off their tour in Belfast, the pair travelled down the coast to Dublin, where they busked on Grafton Street, recorded music at Windmill Lane Recording Studios and stopped for a pint at the Guinness Storehouse.
The surprise performance at a pub in Horan's hometown Mullingar in Co. Westmeath was amongst his first in front of a live audience since 2019 - giving fans all the more reason to get excited for 2023.
