Following the release of 'Heaven' last Friday, Niall Horan has shared the highly anticipated accompanying music video for the single. Coinciding with the video release, the track has also debuted on the Official Irish Singles Chart at No.4.
'Heaven' is the first single to be shared from his upcoming album, The Show, out on June 9.
The single – the Mullingar star's first new solo material in three years – was recorded in southern California, and co-written with John Ryan, Tobias Jesso Jr., and Joel Little.
“One thing I’ve learned over the years is that society loves to pressure us into reaching certain milestones by a certain age,” Niall says of the inspiration behind 'Heaven'. “Whether that’s getting married or anything else, that really should be based on our own instincts. As I’ve gotten older, I’ve tried to let go of those expectations and just follow my heart.
“The chorus of this song is saying that what I have in my life currently is amazing. So it would be crazy to ruin that by giving in to outside pressures.”
