Today's album announcement is accompanied by a new single and music video to boot
Singer-songwriter Niamh Bury has today announces that her highly anticipated debut album Yellow Roses will be released on Friday, March 29. The LP announcement also coincides with the release her latest single 'Budapest'.
Produced by Brian Brían Mac Gloinn of Ye Vagabonds renown, Yellow Roses features 10 songs including the singles ‘Beehive’, ‘Who Am I To Tell Him?’, and ‘Discovery’.
Of her impending debut album release, Niamh Bury says: “I’m so excited to be releasing this collection of songs I’ve had with me for some time. I’m very proud of it and the wonderful people who worked on it with me. I learned so much making it, and feel very lucky to be letting it out into the world.”
Yellow Roses promises 10 considered and lovingly-crafted songs that conjure maps of conversations with oneself, loved ones, imaginary characters and those who have passed on to other worlds - a truly folk album demonstrating story telling through music.
For fans who cannot wait till March 29 for their Niamh Bury fix, luckily today's announcement is accompanied by a dreamy new single 'Budapest'. The single release is accompanied with a stunning music video which will transport you to the intoxicating folksphere of Niamh Bury.

Niamh says of the new single: “Budapest was written during a cold February in Dublin. It's about the places we escape to in our imaginations – outer space or a city we’re dreaming of packing up and leaving to. It’s about the yearning to step outside of your own story to chase that feeling of being a small part of a bigger picture.”
Bury has been shortlisted for Best Emerging Artist at the RTÉ Folk Awards, and earlier this month was earmarked by both The Irish Times and The Irish Examiner as 'One to Watch' for 2024. Her Other Voices performance will be aired on RTÉ One in March and will see bury accompanied by Caimin Gilmore on double bass and Kate Ellis on cello.
