All proceeds from the gig go to the Kildare women and children’s refuge Teach Tearmainn.
Kildare artist Niamh Strong will be headlining the special fundraising concert Songbird, in aid of the women and children's refuge Teach Tearmainn this Saturday, August 31. Accompanied by Newbridge Gospel Choir and Mairéad Carroll, the show will take place in the historic surrounds of St Brigid’s Cathedral, Kildare.
The evening will include a premium pre-concert reception, starting at 6.00pm, followed by the main performance at 7.30pm.
Kildare native Niamh Strong, comes from one of Ireland’s most recognisable musical families, with her father Ron and her brother Andrew.

In March 2018, Niamh recorded a special album in honour of the American singer and musician Eva Cassidy, Niamh Strong sings Eva Cassidy. This album will form the core material for the concert.
All proceeds from the event will go to Teach Tearmainn, a non-profit organisation in Kildare town with charitable status, serving women and children who are experiencing domestic violence and abuse.
The concert will predominantly feature local women in music and its fundraising target will be to support women who access the services of Teach Tearmainn.
