During a Melbourne showing of his ‘So What do You Want to Know?’ Conversations with Nick Cave Tour, the Australia native told the audience that a new Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds album is in the works.

, According to Themusic.com, the critically-acclaimed singer-songwriter told the crowd that, “We’ve really nearly finished a new record, I would say, and it’s an amazing thing in my opinion.”

Cave’s last full-length studio LP, Skeleton Tree, was released in 2016 and received extensive praise from fans and critics alike.

Although an official release date has not been confirmed, Cave insisted he is “very, very excited” about the album’s imminent launch.
