Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds are set to release the second part of their 2005 album, B-Sides & Rarities. The record will be available on October 22.
"I always liked the original B-Sides & Rarities more than any of our other albums," said frontman Nick Cave. "It's the only one I'd listen to willingly. It seems more relaxed, even a bit nonsensical in places, but with some beautiful songs throughout. There is something, too, about the smallness of certain songs that is closer to their original spirit."
While B-Sides & Rarities Part II will be available digitally and on vinyl and CD, the record will also be released as a deluxe vinyl box set, featuring both parts of B-Sides & Rarities and exclusive sleeve notes.
The upcoming release of the box set will be the first time that B-Sides & Rarities Part I will be on vinyl. The 2005 record was compiled by Mick Harvey and has 56 of the band's rare tracks from 1988 to 2005.
Nick Cave and Warren Ellis compiled B-Sides & Rarities Part II, which has 27 of the band's tracks from 2006 to 2020. It also includes the first recordings of three tacks – 'Skeleton Tree,' 'Girl In Amber,' and 'Bright Horses.' Cave added that it continues the "strange and beautiful collection of lost songs from The Bad Seeds."

"I love the final side of the last disc because it reveals the small and fragile beginnings of some of my favorite Bad Seeds songs," said Cave. "'Waiting For You' complete with bizarre 'canning factory' rhythm track, a gorgeous 'Life Per Se' deemed too sad for 'Skeleton Tree,' and 'Earthlings' that some consider the finest track of the Ghosteen sessions."
Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds will perform at festivals around Europe in 2022, and Nick Cave and Warren Ellis will tour the UK beginning in September. Tickets are available here.
