The rapper was forced to leave an impromptu London fan meetup after being rushed by a frenetic mob of fans this weekend, a day after her delayed headline set at Wireless Festival.
Nicki Minaj took the stage at the Wireless Festival this Sunday in Finsbury Park, north London, where the 39 year-old rapper was part of a historic, all-female group of headliners.
Yet fans were outraged when many could not make it past the gates due to overcrowding issues for the event. Her fans ended up jumping fences and arguing with security officers, as many travelled across the continent to see the rapper perform.

Likely because of fans’ disappointment, the rapper announced just a few hours after her delayed performance that she would be holding an impromptu meet and greet the following day. The event was set to take place in Camden at Cafe Koko. Via Instagram, Minaj alerted fans that she would arrive at noon, though the star didn’t show until nearly 6pm.

Upon her awaited arrival, police officers were forced to create a protective wall around the rapper and her mass of swarming fans. Officers then escorted Minaj back to her vehicle and away from the event, being unable to enter at all.
Fans then began chasing the van carrying the artist away from the event, which can be seen in a video uploaded to Twitter. The star is now trending on Twitter under #NickiMinaj due to the disastrous weekend events, with many in her Barb fandom sharing their outrage online.
