Catch her live-streamed performance tonight on the Hot Press Instagram.
Capping off our April line-up on the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions is NÍV – performing live on the Hot Press Instagram at 7.30pm tonight, April 30.
The Kildare singer-songwriter first rose to attention 2011, as the lead singer of country-folk band Murmur, who played gigs alongside Hudson Taylor and Orla Gartland. She once again found success in indie-rock band District Daze, whose highlights included performances at Electric Picnic, Vantastival and the Sugar Club, and sold-out EP launch in Sweeney’s, Dublin.
As a solo artist, NÍV draws inspiration from the likes of Damien Rice and Joni Mitchell, as well as Irish traditional music. She was selected from more than 300 online submissions as a finalist in the The Soloist singing competition in 2016. Following the success of her debut single 'You', she released 'Silly Voices' earlier this year.
Throughout the Hot Press Lockdown Sessions, our star-studded line-up will be taking over the Hot Press Instagram account (@hotpressmagazine), and live-streaming performances from their homes around the world directly to your phone.
