The brothers have a contentious relationship since the Oasis split back in 2009.
Noel Gallagher, the older brother of the Oasis duo, has blocked the use of the band's music in Liam's new documentary film.
Irish documentary maker, Gavin Fitzgerald, said on RTÉ Radio 1's Maurice Finucane Show that Noel denied a request to use Oasis music in his upcoming film, As It Was.
Fitzgerald said that although Noel ignores his younger brother's many barbs on Twitter, he "(gets) back at Liam in other ways".
"For example, we weren't able to use Oasis music in the documentary because Noel owns the publishing rights and refused it, even though Liam wrote some of those songs," he said.
The new documentary follows Liam Gallagher's solo career after the split of the Oasis band back in 2009. Liam is quoted in the trailer for the upcoming documentary stating "the geezer split my band up".
The film reveals that Liam's love for music was rekindled after he attended a jam session in a pub in Charlestown, County Mayo, the hometown of his mother. He then embarked on his solo career.

In 2017, Liam released his solo debut album, As You Were, which reached number one in the Irish charts.
After the brothers engaged in a physical fight before their show in Paris in 2009, Noel released a statement announcing he was leaving the band because he couldn't stand to work with Liam a day longer. The pair have not been in direct contact since.
The film will be screened in cinemas from June 6, you can watch the trailer (lacking a certain melody involving wonders and walls) here:
