Council Skies will be released June 2nd, and is available to pre-order now. Remaining tickets for Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds' Dublin date are available via Ticketmaster.
Noel Gallagher has officially released Robert Smith of The Cure’s remix of High Flying Birds’ ‘Pretty Boy’.
The remix is available on Noel Gallgher’s High Flying Birds' deluxe limited-edition of Council Skies. The record, which is set for release June 2nd via Sour Mash Records, is available to pre-order now.
Speaking on his remixed version, Smith said, “I was surprised and delighted when Noel asked me to remix this gorgeous song, and I had a lot of fun slowing it down and spacing it out.”
“Cure drummer Jason Cooper gave me a great vibey drum track to play along with – and the rest just phased into place under the starry sky of my distant moon…” he continued.
Council Skies’ deluxe edition will be available in triple vinyl and 2CD formats, along with a BBC Radio 2 session version of ‘Live Forever’, including a Pet Shop Boys remix.

All versions of the album purchased from the official store will be accompanied by a printed handwritten lyric sheet of the album’s titular track.
‘Pretty Boy’, which was released last November, originally featured Johnny Marr. Gallagher, earlier this year said the remix’s version “sounds exactly like The Cure”.
“‘Pretty Boy’’ as it was unfolding became reminiscent of the golden age of The Cure. And it was just one of those crazy ideas that one tends to have in the middle of the night, thinking, ‘I wonder if Robert Smith [would] get involved. I wonder if I can get hold of him,’ Gallagher recalled.
“I asked if he’d get involved and sent him the track and he loved it. He did the remix. And I loved it. I’d never met him before. I’d never conversed with him,” he continued.
Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds will tour the UK between this July and September where they will perform in Dublin at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham on August 27th following the release of Council Skies.
Remaining tickets can be purchased here.
Meanwhile, The Cure, who have not released an album since 2008’s 4:13 Dream, are expected to announce release details shortly of their long-awaited record, Songs Of A Lost World.
