Noel Gallagher has responded to his brother and former Oasis bandmate Liam's criticism of U2.
Earlier this week, Liam ranted over Twitter that he would rather "eat shit" than attend a U2 gig, and proceeded to call the band a "bunch of beige fucks." The following day, he backed his comment by calling U2 a "naff band," charmingly referring to Bono first as "bongo" and then as "bingo," and warning U2 concert attendees to "beware of bongos farts."

Noel, who is set to tour with U2 this summer with his band High Flying Birds, seemed to directly respond to his brother's digs in a tweet on Thursday. In the post, Noel jokingly referred to the tour as "The U2 Catering Experience," and boasted that it is the "THE MOST superior catering experience anywhere in the music business." He closed the tweet with the stinger, "AS YOU WEREN'T..KISS-KISS.. NG," an obvious mockery of his brother's signature sign-off, "As you were LG."

Noel also posted a photo of High Flying Birds prepping for the tour, along with a quote from his accompanying tweet. The photo features another ex-Oasis member, Gem Archer, presumably one of the "new members" with whom Noel has been "reacquainted."
"We are pretty much ready (for the U2 Tour)
The tunes have been given a good polish.
Everyone has been reacquainted.
We have new members!" pic.twitter.com/fZFXeF9oxG— Noel Gallagher (@NoelGallagher) July 6, 2017

Liam is set to release a solo album this October. However, he recently commented that he would rather be back in Oasis, which split in 2009, than pursue a solo career.
"I prefer to be in Oasis. Let’s get that… We know that. I prefer to be in a band. But that’s not happening, so you can’t sit at home twiddling your thumbs, do you know what I mean?"
In the meantime, High Flying Birds will be playing with U2 at Croke Park July 22. They are set to release an album this November, just one month after Liam's is scheduled to drop.
