"If I play a song once... and it connects, it’s in there forever," Noel said. “Obviously, I’ll forget about little things but years later I’ll be playing something and go, ‘Hang on, that’s that fucking tune I had’."
Over thirteen years after the release of their final studio album, Dig Out Your Soul, there's a new Oasis project on the way – as Noel Gallagher reveals that he's re-recording a collection of recently unearthed tracks from the band.
Speaking on Matt Morgan's Funny How? podcast, Noel announced that he's set to record 14 songs that "just fell by the wayside of various projects from down the years."
"I'm going to record them," he said. "Some are quite old school.
"I was looking at the tracklisting and thinking: 'Actually, fucking hell, no – I'd approach that song differently'. It's been very interesting."
He went on to note that his "gift" is not "coming up with the chords", but "remembering it all".

"If they’re good enough they’ll come back.”
Whether Noel will include his old bandmates on the new collection remains to be seen.
At the start of the year, Liam Gallagher once again expressed his hopes for a reunion, tweeted: "HNY Noel love you long time 2021 is our year c'mon you know LG x"
