You can now nominate your 2023 favourites in our annual Hot Press Readers' Poll, aka The Hotties.
Last year's Readers' Poll – a huge success, with the biggest ever vote in Hot Press 45 year history – saw Dermot Kennedy win big, taking the Track of The Year ('Better Days'), as well as Individual Artist Of The Year and Best Songwriter.
He was followed closely by the fast-rising Dublin star Gemma Dunleavy, who scored two major wins in the 'Most Promising Of The Year' and 'Best Dance/Electronic (Irish)' categories.
The battle for Debut Album of the Year was intensely fought, with Inhaler's It Won't Always Be Like This just pipping the wonderful Orla Gartland's Woman On The Internet and the marvellous, eponymous For Those I Love.
Last year saw the introduction of a new category to the Readers' Poll, won by Imelda May, Groundbreaking Female Artist of the Year, which recognises the importance of the campaign for gender equality in Irish society, and in the world of music generally. The new category was introduced in association with Sounding the Feminists, the campaign for gender equality which is led by Irish musicians, composers and practitioners.
Hot Press also wants to hear what were your highlights in terms of international favourites, movies, TV, books, games and more. So support your own personal favourites by making your nominations now in as many - or as few – categories you'd like.
