The 14-track record has been 8 years in the making and released on October 31st.
Dublin girl rock group girlfriend. have released their highly anticipated debut album To Be Quiet, just in time for Halloween.
Made up of 14 tracks, the record was in the works for over eight years and will be released on 2 x 12" heavyweight vinyl in an exclusive gatefold lyric sleeve with a special insert. The vinyl is available to preorder on the band's Bandcamp.
The band shared a special statement today regarding the release of the record. "TBQ has been 8 years in the making, and we put our blood, sweat and tears into making it," they wrote on Instagram. "It has survived through broken bones, unemployment, dead end jobs, a global pandemic, illness, heartbreak, crises, an illegal eviction and so many other adverse factors that felt insurmountable at times.
"To Be Quiet is an exorcism of these things that haunt us. Of the pain that comes with being alive now. Above all else, it is a celebration of our friendship and being able to turn pain into something beautiful with your mates."
