For fans of Maribou State, Bonobo, Alt - J, Milky Chance; Omonoko are building up an exciting and eclectic range of singles ahead of their forthcoming EP (due to arrive in mid-2021).
Alternative duo Omonoko have released the first track from their highly-anticipated forthcoming EP, the genre-defying track 'Weight in Gold'.
The song incorporates an addictive bass line, simple but effective electronic sounds, hooky guitar lines and falsetto vocals that deliver a chilled yet uplifting track with a funky Jungle-inspired feel.
Lyrically the song focuses on an individual's need to have a break from the outside world, to reestablish a connection with themselves, and to focus on what their next move in life will be.
Produced by Cian Sweeney of 1000 Beasts, 'Weight in Gold' builds up the excitement for the two-piece band's 2021 EP release. Already in 2020, the group have released two catchy singles: 'Emerald' and 'Arrow'.
With streams racking up to over 3,000,000 on music licensing website Jamendo and their track ‘Empty Streets’ making an appearance on BBC Sport’s highlights of the Six Nations Rugby last year; Omonoko have also attracted the attention of major radio players from the start of their career.

Stay tuned - the pair are expected to create their first original music video for 'Weight in Gold' soon.
