The documentary Notes Of A Rave In Dublin charts the 20 odd years of a once burgeoning underground dance scene and heady rave culture in the fair city Dublin.

This December 1st, Liberty Hall in Dublin will play host to a special screening of the doc, including presentations and a panel discussions with a dedicated after party set to take place in The Wiley Fox.

The documentary, which was directed by James Redmond, co founder of the political anti establishment magazine ‘Rabble’, charts the development of the scene in the early 80’s, with testimonials from then scene leaders to glorious footage of clubbers in action. It also looks at the homogenisation of the once underground community and explores its eventual demise as it ultimately became mainstream and over policed.

It’s first showing took place last February at the Audi Dublin International Film Festival and tickets sold out almost instantaneously.

This is one not to be missed.
