Oasis topped the Music Most Searched List after announcing their comeback in August
Google’s Year in Search results have revealed the ten most searched musicians in the country over the past year.
Oasis, having announced their comeback with a flurry of live '25 shows across the world, ranked top, with Ireland's 2024 Eurovision entry Bambie Thug coming second.
Coldplay - after taking over Croke Park with four sold-out shows in September - were third, with pop juggernauts Sabrina Carpenter, Shania Twain and Chappell Roan also making the list. Irish artists Róisín Murphy, Lisa McHugh and Kneecap rounded off the list, which also featured YouTuber and rapper Yung Filly - who was charged with sexual assault in Australia in October.

In other categories elections featured prominently. The US Election was the second most searched term overall, and candidates Donald Trump, Kamala Harris and Joe Biden all appeared in the most searched people list. ‘How to register to vote’ was the most searched ‘How To’ question in Ireland with ‘What is the referendum about’ also featuring on the ‘What is’ list.
It was a big year for sport, as Euro 2024 topped the overall search list with the Olympics coming in fifth. The latter also had an impact on the most searched person list, with Irish gold medallists Kellie Harrington and Daniel Wiffen named the third and fourth most searched people respectively.
Baby Reindeer was the most searched TV programme, with the Barry Keoghan-starring Saltburn ranking as the most searched film in Ireland. One Direction singer Liam Payne topped the 'Losses' list, following his death in October.
