Celebrating the 25th anniversary of Oasis’ '98 release The Masterplan, the band announced today the forthcoming release of the B-sides album’s reissue. The remastered album will feature collector’s editions and remastered audio, with new formats made available including CD, cream cassette, and limited-edition double vinyl formats – heavyweight silver, green and black, marble and black.

The reissue of Oasis’ silver singles record is announced today via Big Brother Recordings Ltd, due November 3.

With remastered audio taken from the ‘Chasing The Sun’ reissues – available for the first time as one collection – The Masterplan is a collection of notable, era-defining B-sides. Their first three albums are centred on the record: Definitely Maybe (1994), (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? (1995), and Be Here Now (1997).

The 14 tracks are equally cherished by rock fans, following in the shadows of influential artists The Smiths and The Jam, who also paid great mind to their B-side singles. While it’s no controversial statement to put forth the greatness of Oasis as a legendary record-producing band, it’s also true that the group relied equally on their memorable singles.

The album also includes several record-setting Oasis songs like ‘Acquiesce’ and ‘Half The World Away.’ Noel Gallagher has referred to title-track ‘The Masterplan’ as “one of the best songs he has ever written,” a singular statement worthy enough to turn heads in the direction of a modern remaster.

The Masterplan also includes ‘Talk Tonight’ , the solo acoustic recording by Noel, plus ‘Stay Young ', ‘Listen Up’, ‘Going Nowhere’, ‘Fade Away’ and ‘Rockin’ Chair.’

Upon its ‘98 release, The Masterplan charted at No.2 in the UK Official Album Chart UK, selling roughly 122,000 copies in its first week. It has since gone on to receive triple platinum certification and has sold over 3M copies internationally.
