The announcement coincides with growing rumours of an upcoming Oasis reunion
It's shaping up to be a massive week for Oasis fans – as, 15 years after their split, the band have taken to social media to tease a special announcement, coming this Tuesday, August 27, at 8am.
Last night's social media post – arriving just days before the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Definitely Maybe – has heightened speculation that a Oasis reunion could be on the cards.
Liam Gallagher displayed a similar clip about the imminent announcement on the screens at the end of his Reading Festival set on Sunday – during which he also dedicated Oasis's 1994 song 'Half The World Away' to his brother Noel.
Various news platforms have suggested that a reunited Oasis are gearing up to play 10 shows at London's Wembley Stadium, and 10 at Manchester's Heaton Park.
Liam has appeared to confirm the rumours on X – responding to a post about the possible upcoming gigs with: 'See you down the front...'
He also posted, 'I never did like that word FORMER', yesterday morning.

Earlier this summer, Liam kicked off his own Definitely Maybe 30th Anniversary Tour – which included shows at Dublin's 3Arena, Limerick's Thomond Park, and Belfast Vital.
