The version will feature previously unheard takes from the original Monnow Valley and Sawmills Studios sessions.
Oasis will release a 30th Anniversary Deluxe Edition of their debut studio album Definitely Maybe on August 30, 2024.
The new format will feature tracks from the discarded original recording session at Monnow Valley Studios, along with outtakes from the definitive album recorded at Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, newly mixed for the first time by Noel Gallagher and Callum Marinho.
The new edition includes an unreleased demo version of ‘Sad Song’. Originally released as a bonus track on the LP, this alternative version features Liam Gallagher’s vocals.
The package also features artwork by original art designer Brian Cannon for Microdot and original sleeve photographer Michael Spencer Jones, plus new sleeve notes from Creation Records boss Alan McGee and journalist Hamish MacBain.
Upon its release in August 1994, Definitely Maybe marked a critical moment in British youth culture, with Noel Gallagher’s songwriting and Oasis’ driving sound representing a new mood among the British youth.

Following signing a record deal, Liam and Noel Gallagher, Paul ‘Bonehead’ Arthurs, Paul McGuigan and Tony McCarroll descended upon Monnow Valley studios on the Welsh borders of Monmouthshire, setting out to capture the energy of their live shows on record.
The initial recordings were said to have been overly technical and polished and were ultimately scrapped, with the group relocating to Sawmills Studios to re-record the album.
Definitely Maybe would go on to become the fastest selling debut album of all time in the UK. The album is BPI certified 8 times platinum in the UK, selling over 6.1 million copies globally and the second Official Most Streamed Album of the 90s in the UK, beaten only by its successor (What’s The Story) Morning Glory?
Elsewhere, Liam is set to play a string of 30th Anniversary Definitely Maybe shows, celebrating the album in Limerick, Belfast and Dublin this summer.
